Alpaca Poisonous Plants
I am constantly having to look up poisonous plants and I have found sites that list some but not all of them so as I find plants  not listed I will be adding them. If you know of any I haven't added please let me know, this is a valuable list to any alpaca rancher!  Some of this list was compiled from other farms, co-operative extensions, some are listed as poisonous to llamas, etc... you get the picture.

You should always consult with your vet if you think your alpacas have gotten into something poisonous.  I don't go into symptoms because each animal can have a different reaction, so that is something you need to look out for.

I have yet to determine if Photinia is a poisonous plant, I see many farms using it as a screen or wind block at their fencelines but some people tell me it's poisonous and others tell me its not, so I have avoided it this far but have the perfect  place for it!
